Had A Lovely Sunday At White Hart Wedding Fair

We had a lovely day yesterday at White Hart Wedding Fair, met lots of beautiful brides to be and talented local businesses.

We were pleased as punch when Michelle of Table Linen Design asked us to dress her  table, our vintage crockery & rose & pearl candelbra worked wonderfully with the elegant table linen and chair covers Michelle chose.  You can't tell from this photo but there was a beautiful sheer flock over the cream table cloth with sashes to match.

More photos to follow on our combined table, to see the different designs of Michelle's chair covers and linen please look here

A special thank you goes out to Helen of Cat's Whiskers Cake Design who made some beautiful cupcakes to set out on our stand, the colours she chose matched our china perfectly.

Afternoon Tea...

Last Sunday saw us up at Heath Cottage Wedding Fair, where we had a stand and our vintage crockery was used in the afternoon tea room...

Afternoon Tea

You had the choice of a slice of cake or one of these gorgeous cup cakes with a cup of lovely yorkshire tea, served in our pretty vintage china cups

Afternoon Tea...

Or you could have "high tea" which consisted of  finger sandwiches and mini cream cakes served on our 3 tier china cakestands, all with a cup of tea of course

Cupcakes...

Every commented on the crockery and said how much better tea tasted out of "proper" china cups

Use our leather suitcases as a great alternative to the Card Post Box at your wedding...

We used vintage childrens building blocks to let your family & friends know where to put their wedding cards to you, topped with a vintage ink bottle and dainty daffodils to "pretty up"

Alice At The Royal Opera House

Earlier this year we were asked by The Royal Opera House, to make 500 of our distressed Alice In Wonderland Tags with Drink Me on them, for a very special dinner event.

It was a teacup event that was being held in conjunction with the world premiere of a new full-length ballet created by Christopher Wheeldon for The Royal Ballet...

Whatever our souls are made of his and mine are the same...

Just because...

I thought I'd share a few photos I took a while back of some beautiful dwarf iris and a couple of my favourite quotes...

Whatever our souls are made of, his and mine are the same...

“Run your fingers through my soul. For once, just once, feel exactly what I feel, believe what I believe, perceive as I perceive, look, experience, examine, and for once; just once, understand.”

Talking Point Saddleworth Wedding Fayre

I thought I'd share a few photos from the Wedding Fayre we did at The Talking Point, Saddleworth, I was sooo pleased with our stand, and it was the first time we had show cased our newest SS family member, this gorgeous vintage wind up gramophone, which is in full working order.

Vintage Luggage & Gramophone

We are placed her on top of our vintage trunk and luggage and put some flowers in her horn, doesn't she look purdy!

Lillies & Pearls

Here's a little teacup that has been dressed up with lillies and pearls

Mannequin

We also decorated the podiums at the end of the fashion catwalk, here you can see some of our pretty vintage china and mannequin.
Shabby Chic Table Centrepieces

And on the other side we had a cream candelabra, vintage style bird cage and glass cloche.

We had so many lovely compliments and interest and went home very happy bunnies.

If you didn't get chance to see us at the Talking Point, we will be showing at The White Hart Lydgate on Sunday the 27th March, run by Little White Books, come along and say hello we'd be really pleased to see you.

Spring has sprung...

Although it's not technically spring until the 20th March, everything is coming to life in our garden already, so I thought I'd share a few of the little beauties with you...

♥ Muscari

~ Muscari ~

~ Snowdrops ~

“May flowers always line your path and sunshine light your day. May songbirds serenade you every step along the way. May a rainbow run beside you in a sky that's always blue. And may happiness fill your heart each day your whole life through.”

~ Muscari & Snowdrops ~

And although the daffodils are a little bit behind I thought I'd include a photo from our trip to Bodnant Gardens last year in honour of our Welsh friends to wish them a very happy St David's Day.

I wandered lonely as a cloud

And also to wish my late Grandpa Hawkyard a happy birhday.
