Vintage Typewriters...

Vintage Teacups

Filled with old fashioned roses they make the sweetest wedding centrepieces



Buy or hire our soya teacup candles, they look so pretty lit at night, the translucent china glows beautifully.

Swallows:-

The "Godess of Shopping" has been with me this weekend, I couldn't believe my luck when I spied these gorgie china cups with retro swallows on them, I  just had to have them...

There are six swallows on the tea plate, two on the saucer, and four on the cup...three on the outside and one flying out of the cup...

And the bestest things is  have Not 1, Not 2, Not 3......BUT 4 of these babies!

I also got these muscari, I think I'm going to use these in my first wedding fair of the year at Albert Halls run by the lovely ladies Maxine and Natasha of Little White Books

Stop And Smell The Roses

We are always searching for pretty vintage items to add to our hire list and this is one of the newest finds from our "junking" trips to flea markets and thrift shops.

I absolutely adore this crystal rose bowl, so much so it has pride of place on the conservatory dining room table at home (for now until I find my next junking treasure), that's what's so good about buying things to hire out for our lovely brides, we more often than not use them in our home...let's face it this is just to pretty to be stuck in storage!!

We added a few vintage books and my grandmother's pearls, rhinestone necklace and brooch to make a pretty vignette.

The little pink butterfly you can see on the books is a little memento saved from our wedding day.

We have tons of pretty vintage glass candlesticks that look just wonderful mixed with the many crystal rose bowls we have, and in the background is my favouritist glass cloche, I've put little rose favour boxes inside it, which can be found here but you could use it for anything really, cakes, cheese, or with beautiful flowers inside to make an original table centre piece, we have a great collection of these now in various shapes and sizes.

Soooo for now I'm just taking time to admire my newest vintagey find and taking the time to stop and smell the roses!

Vintage Suitcases

We are building up a great selection of vintage leather suitcases, hat boxes and steamer trunks here at Saddleworth Shindigs

They look great used as props shown here with vintage glass cakestands and vintage bottles

We have been able to date the hot box on the left back to the 1920's from an old travel stamp on one of the sides.

Suitcases could have so many uses at a wedding, from a quirky alternative to a post box, look great used as a table planner or even holding favours for guests.

Vintage Shot Glasses & Limoncello

So many weddings are going down the DIY route these days be it decorations, banners, food and even drinks, I LOVE the idea of making your own drinks and can't think of anything tastier or even better easier to make than the Italian liquor Limoncello.

Liomoncello is traditionally served chilled as an after-dinner digestivo, served in small ceramic glasses themselves often chilled.

Our selection of gorgeous vintage shot glasses would be ideal to use when serving up your homemade Limoncello digestif

For a refreshing alternative to Champagne or Bucks Fizz on arrival of your guests just add Sparkling Wine or Prosecco with Limoncello and serve in tall chilled champagne flutes...easy peasy!
